Storyline:
When a host of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, began to rise from the sea, a war broke out that would take millions of lives and resources for years humanitys . To meet the major Kaiju, a particular type of weapon was designed: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a bridge neurons. But even the Jaegers proves almost vulnerable of Kaiju relentless. On the brink of defeat, the defense forces of humanity have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes - a former stranded driver (Charlie Hunnam ) and an untested trainee (Ginko Kikuchi) - who join forces to lead the legendary Jaeger, but ostensibly passed over. Together, they stand as mankinds last hope against the growing Apocalypse.
